Stolen Chances

A number of suspected theft and copyright infringement situations related to the Loring and Wyle Estate were uncovered during the fellowship at 221A and became a component of my final report and the culmination work there.

Wanting to have more authority I began looking into the mechanics of transferring executorship from Frances Gage, who had recently passed, to myself. I never did proceed as I would have had to apply for a Certificate of Appointment as Succeeding Estate Trustee with a Will likely needing a lawyer here in Vancouver to help prepare that paperwork and a lawyer in Toronto too, where Loring and Wyle died.

I spoke to Frances Gage’s’ executors lawyer and she didn't think that I needed Gage’s executors consent, but rather, the consent from all the beneficiaries of the Loring and Wyle’s Wills - something I think I could have done without much difficulty -  RCA, National Gallery, AGO, some small regional galleries, family members and Rebecca Sisler, all who I have befriended over the years.
